More loose ends for you, cycle through the sky, live in a tricycle… you know, fairly standard stuff really.

Kolelinia is a Lab for alternative transportation and mobile architecture, founded by Martin Angelov. – Translation – cycling, on wires, above the traffic. I WANT! Currently in ‘trial’ usage for bike trails, in an adventure context.

The Tricycle House addresses the theme “The People’s Future” for the 2012 Get It Louder Exhibition in Beijing. Private ownership of land in China does not exist, and The Tricycle House suggests a future embrace of the temporary relationship between people and the land they occupy. – Translation – it is a cool plastic house on the back of a tricycle. Check it out!

Way back in the summer of 2009, we built a rocket stove water heater so we could have hot showers at Milkwood. What a revolution. And 2.5 years later, our rocket powered shower is, surprisingly, still going strong. Since we get a lot of questions (and comments from warm, clean farm visitors) about this home-made hot water rig, I thought I’d do a little appraisal of the system: how it’s fared and what we’ve learned from such a simple, effective system for happily heated water.
